20 DAYS OUT!

Hello out there!!! It's 20 days out until Omaha, NE.  How exciting.  My main focus is to get as lean as I can before show time.  I can honestly say some days I felt like giving it all up and go far off left and never turn around, but I just snap myself out of it and make sure I stay right.  It's a mental game.  youVSyou. Sometimes it's as simple as looking at pictures from before and now to keep you going.  I felt like I was stalling out and hitting a plateau.  But I just told myself don't listen to that little debbie downer voice inside.  The positive will always overcome.  So here I am keeping my head up finishing strong.  Telling myself; I will get leaner by show time.  I command my body to grow.  First picture was from today, show day on Sept.

10 DAYS AND A WAKE UP

Here is an updated pic from last night. Competition is Sat 21st. Feeling good, excited, anxious, and hungry lol. I swear I'm always eating something. Energy is great. None of that hangry feeling that I used to get when I prepped for my first comp last year. It's crunch time and just hoping to get a little tighter by show time. After this show I'll be competing in the super pro qualifier in Nebraska in Nov. my next goals will be to condition my legs.

It's Been Awhile

Hi Guys!!!

How's everyone doing? It's been a very long time since I last updated my blog. A lot has happened since. A bff wedding, party plannings, and helping Ms. Kim Bui prep. I just finally decided to do a show in September. Progress is great. Slowly but surely :). These are more recent pics. My goal is to get more definition on my legs and my back. I have decided to become more committed in updating my blog. You can also follow me on Instagram Mszrina.

I weighed in at 94.4lbs this morning I know sound very tiny but I'm only 4'11" lol I definitely want to be in the single digits before show time. Lets get it! Btw I'm sorry I don't have a pic from this morning *sad face*

Chest & Shoulders

Tonight's workout was chest and shoulders with OG John and Hubby. Give it your all or nothing. Before my accident I was able to bench press 45's on each side with 6-8reps . Tonight's bench press rep was 4. *happy feet dance*. Altho it's not what I've used to rep out being able to jus lift that weight again just moved me n got me pumped! 😊 we finished the night with incline bench press, peck decks, back flys and shoulder presses. It was a successful night.

Don't waste a workout that's the motto. Whether you did one Rep or ten. Little increment is a progress. Never get discouraged because one week you was able to lift heavy n the next week you weren't. We all have those days but to be able to get it in n get 'er done n wanting it bad is wat counts. It's always a plus plus when you have good company with great encouragement n motivation to push you to the next level.

Carb Nite Diet...Say wahhh!!?!?

My family and friends knew I've been out of the gym for the month of Dec due to a car accident. I finally went back to working out last week. I knew I wanted to do the upcoming shows in April so I had to diet down earlier. My hubby came across a diet called Carb Nite Solutions. It was basically keeping carbs intake under 30g a day for the first 10days. On the 10th night you basically eat "junk". You will then be able to eat the junk once a week. It's definitely been a tough road because like any diet you have to tweak it to fit you. After some tweaking twerking around I was finally able to get it right and could see little changes. Below are some pictures. First two are from today after workout and the last one from last week. I will definitely try and post up some more before pictures or at least some better ones but I think these should do for now. :p

Intro...

Hey Guys!  Gosh where do I begin...lol My name is Rina and am 25 years old, a mother, wifey, and have a full time job that I tend to.  I've competed for the first time in Sept 2012 at the NW Royale and placed 3rd.    I couldn't have done it with a great support group, my husband Manny, & my fitness mentor John F. Nickerson who pushed and helped me along the way.  The show was a cherry on the top after all the training I went through.  It didn't matter what I placed in, I just knew that wow!! I can't believe I've made it this far to just step on stage in front of a bunch of people to get judged on my body.

I am now on another fitness journey this year and will be updating my progress along the way.  I will share some of my nutrition tips and workout routines.  Lets get this show on the road...stay tuned. <3<3<3
